About LSTAR
The jurisdiction of the London and St. Thomas Association of REALTORS® (LSTAR) includes Middlesex and Elgin Counties, a trading area servicing approximately 500,000 residents. It is one of the ten largest Boards in Canada with a membership of over 1,400 Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons working out of 135 offices.
Our Members are licensed professionals governed by a high standard of professional service and a strict
Code of Ethics
and are committed to providing the best possible service to their clients and customers.
Member Services
One of the primary functions of LSTAR is the operation of the Multiple Listing Service® or MLS®, a co-operative marketing system used only by Canada’s real estate boards to ensure maximum exposure of properties for sale. Almost all resale homes in Canada are sold through MLS®. Using MLS®, REALTORS® can access sold prices, list prices, average time on the market, historical data and conduct comparative market analyses. MLS® is the cornerstone of organized real estate’s tremendous success, both its most valuable tool and your best chance to optimize your buying or selling experience. It is also a powerful driver of the economy, both in terms of economic spin off and the creation of both direct and indirect jobs.
Clayton Research Report

Our History
Chartered in 1936, the London Real Estate Board amalgamated with the St. Thomas Real Estate Board in 1969 to become the London and St. Thomas Real Estate Board. (The name of the Board was officially changed to the London and St. Thomas Association of REALTORS® in the Autumn of 2006.) Our MLS® was initiated in 1951 as the Co-operative Division; in 1962, the Division was renamed MLS®. In 1984 the Association’s first in-house computer system was installed. Today, its MLS® is provided by Filogix and is Internet-based.
All of the Association’s listings may be found on the
mls.ca
, or on the websites operated by our brokers, the vast majority of whom are participating in the Association’s
Internet Data Exchange (IDX)
program.
