BRUCE SWORIK, PresidentBroker of Record, Sutton Group Select Realty Inc., Brokerage(Independently owned and operated) This year’s President, Bruce Sworik, joined the Association in 1978 and has served as a Director since 2001. He has also served on a number of Association committees -- Nomination, MLS®, New Building, PAC, IC&I, Executive -- and the following task forces: Voting Structure, Land Registry/Assessment and Electronic Key Pad. He also chaired the Conference and Attendance Task Force, sat on the Brokers Issues Advisory Group and has, in the past, served as Commercial Alternate for the Arbitration Committee. As President, Bruce sits as an ex-officio Member of all Committees, Task Forces and Advisory Groups in 2008. He also sits on the Executive Committee, the Key Box Task Force, the Brokers Issues Advisory Group, and chairs the Leadership Development Task Force. Bruce holds a CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) and an ALC (Accredited Land Consultant) designation. He is also a long-standing member of FIABCI, the International Federation of REALTORS®. Bruce is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, the Canadian Club, the London Club and the Knights of Columbus. He also sponsors several local sports teams. His interests are playing hockey, scuba diving, motorcycling, car racing, abstract art collecting and nature. Bruce, his wife Karen of 30 plus years, their three children, Dylan, Julie and Alexander, were all born, raised and live in London.
