Doug, who became a REALTOR® in 1984, has held CREA’s Market Value Appraiser® (Residential) designation since 1991 and NAR’s Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR®) designation since 1994. He is also a member of RE/MAX International’s “Lifetime Achievement Award”,

Doug has previously served on the LSTAR Finance Committee, the Rules & Regs Task Force and the Quality of Life Task Force and the Brokers Issues and Filogix DMS Advisory Groups. In 2010, he sits on the Executive and Finance Committees, the Brokers Issues Advisory Group and the Quality of Life Task Force.

Originally from Parkhill, Ontario, Doug and his wife Jeanette live south of Grand Bend near the shores of Lake Huron. They have three sons: Aaron, who attends University in Iowa; Mark, who attends the University of Windsor; and Garrette who attends North Lambton High School in Forest.

Doug attended the University of Western Ontario and lived in British Columbia for 10 years, working for Ducks Unlimited as an Engineering Technician and Area Manager. He was lucky to see most of B.C. during that time and continues to have a keen interest in travel. He also enjoys skiing, golf, and has coached hockey out of Lambton Shores. Doug sits on the Board of Directors of the Forest Seniors Housing Community Development and is a past member of the Port Franks Optimist Club.
