PETER HOFFMAN, DirectorBroker of Record, Royal LePage Triland Realty Ltd., Brokerage(Independently owned and operated) After graduating in 1975 from Sir George Williams University with a degree in English and Education, Peter arrived in London with his new bride Susann, enrolled in the real estate program and started his sales career with Lauckner Real Estate. By 1980, he had transferred to Canada Trust Real Estate and was appointed Sales Manager, a position he held until 1990, when, along with his childhood friend from Montreal, Robert Breuer, he established Triland Realty Ltd., an independent Brokerage. In 1998 they bought the franchise from Royal LePage and continued the Brokerage under the name of Royal LePage Triland Realty Ltd. Today Royal LePage Triland Realty Ltd. employs over 200 REALTORS® at various locations throughout the counties of Middlesex, Elgin and Oxford. Peter has been a certified instructor of the real estate licensing courses offered by the Ontario Real Estate Association. To say he has been an active volunteer for LSTAR would be putting it mildly. He has served on the following LSTAR Committees, Task Forces and Advisory Groups: Advertising Standard, Appeal Panel, Brokers Issues, Constitution and Bylaws, Bylaw, Commercial, Computer, Community Relations, Ethics Appeal, Education, Executive, Finance, Land Registry/Assessment, Membership Plus, MLS®, Nomination, PAC Issues, Privacy, Rules & Regs, Statistics, Technology, Vermiculite and the Data Management Task Force, which he chaired for many years. In 1994 he served as LSTAR President and, in 1998, he was awarded the Outstanding Service Award. In 2008, Peter chairs the Finance Committee and sits on the Executive Committee, the Data Management Task Force, the Brokers Issues Advisory Group, and the Vermiculite Task Force. Peter’s hobbies include golfing, reading and travelling. Sue and Peter are now “empty nesters” with both sons, Roni and Ari, living in Toronto. .
