A native of Calgary, Alberta, and a resident of London since 1987, Mike joined the Association in 1993. He served as President of the Marketing Division in 2002, Vice-President of the Association in 2004, and President in 2007. He holds the Market Value Appraiser® (Residential) designation from the Canadian Real Estate Association and was awarded LSTAR’s Outstanding Service Award in 2003. He has chaired the Executive Committee, the Finance Committee, the Business Partners Task Force, the Privacy Task Force and the Community Relations Advisory Group. He has also served on the following committees: Discipline, Professional Standards, Executive, Finance, and PAC; the following advisory groups: Education, Community Relations and PAC Issues; and the following task forces: Franchise Review and the Electronic Key Pad. This year, Mike chairs the Quality of Life Task Force, the PAC Issues Advisory Group, and the Nomination Committee. He also sits on the Executive Committee, the Grand Theatre Task Force, and the Key Box Task Force. Additionally, Mike serves on the provincial OREA Communications Committee as well as the national CREA Quality of Life Task Force.

Home at Last
” Steering Committee, Mike worked with the family selected to benefit from the project to find a home, and donated his commission on the sale of that home as part of LSTAR’s contribution to the pilot project.
Mike has represented LSTAR on the Keep London Growing Coalition since its inception. KLGC is an industry advisory group consisting of key leaders from the London Home Builders Association, the London Development Industry, LSTAR and the London Labour Council, among others. It is the first organization of its kind to have members from industry and labour work collaboratively to advise and assist the City of London on development and housing issues.
Until 2003 he represented the Association on the London Housing Advisory Committee, which advises City Council on housing matters as they relate to the City, including affordable housing. Mike’s tenure on the LHAC and interest in affordable housing has led to him serving as a trustee for WOTCH (Western Ontario Therapeutic Community Hostels), the lead agency in Middlesex County for mental health housing and a strong component in the non hospital mental health support system.
Mike’s daughter Jaime attends the University of Guelph studying Animal Sciences, and his son Robyn is an Honours business graduate of the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton. Mike is a strong supporter of junior hockey as well as being an avid reader, and has a keen interest in community service and travelling.
